Ryan Wright was right behind Alexander with his 24-point, 18-rebound game. Five Slingers reached double-figures in the convincing win over Alab Pilipinas.
It wasn’t only about the two import’s dominance for the Slingers. Delvin Goh and Ng Han Bin also chipped in double-digit scoring efforts with 11 and 18 points, respectively.
The Slingers enjoyed a lead as high as 20 points as Alab struggled throughout the game. Reggie Okosa was Alab’s leading scorer with 24 points. He also added 10 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Reigning Local MVP Ray Parks chipped in with 14 points.
Powered by 9 points from Josh Urbiztondo, Alab was able to make a run in the third period, outscoring the Slingers, 33-24. However, the Slingers restored order in the final ten minutes. A jumper by AJ Mandani made it 95-75, squashing all hopes for a classic Alab Pilipinas comeback.
