Xavier Alexander has signed with the Singapore Slingers for the fifth straight season. The Singapore Slingers first announced the signing through the team’s official website.
“It feels great and nothing short of a blessing to sign back for my 5th year with the Slingers,” Alexander told SingaporeSlingers.com. “I’m blessed and honored to be able to not only continue my growth as a person and player but to also be able to continue to be a vessel for kids in Asia to learn and see the game of basketball at a high level.”
Alexander claimed the 2019 Import MVP award after averaging 21.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8 assists throughout the 2018-2019 ABL season. Alexander also led the Slingers to the team’s third Finals appearance in four years but once again fell short of the title.
According to the 6’5″ wingman, he mostly stayed in Asia during the offseason to stay in shape and improve his game. “…so when the ABL comes around again, I’m already ready!” Xavier said, assuring that he is already good to go for their 2019-2020 campaign.
