The Fubon Braves is set to officially join the ASEAN Basketball League this upcoming season.
The Chinese Taipei-based basketball squad will replace the CLS Knights Indonesia and complete the list of ten teams vying for the ABL championship.
Recently, the Fubon Braves secured the best record in the Super Basketball League with a 28–14 record and capped it off with the SBL championship after sweeping the Finals series in four games. They are also one of the eight teams to compete in the upcoming 2019 FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
The Braves, with Coach Hsu Chin-Che at the helm, are currently preparing themselves in hopes of winning it all in their ABL debut. Alongside talents such as former SBL Rookie of The Year Joseph Lin, and Taiwanese basketball star Lin Chih-Chieh, they are ready to amaze the Southeast Asian crowd and to compete amongst ABL’s best teams.
The Fubon Braves will be joining the Formosa Dreamers as one of the ABL franchises located in Chinese Taipei as well as the other eight participating teams: Hong Kong Eastern, Macau Black Bears, Mono Vampire, Saigon Heat, San Miguel Alab Pilipinas, Singapore Slingers, Westports Malaysia Dragons, and the Wolf Warriors.
