The Formosa Dreamers have signed 6’6″ guard Jerran Young for the 2019-2020 ABL season. Young will serve as one of the Dreamers’ two imports.
Jerran Young played for the Singapore Slingers last season, where he quickly became a fan favorite due to his highlight-worthy dunks and his productivity on the court. Young was also a vital part of the Slinger’s finals run as he averaged 19.0 PPG, 7.1 RPG, and 2.3 SPG.
The American import is expected to provide the same intensity at both ends of the floor for the Formosa Dreamers as the team hopes to replicate last season’s success.
After having an abysmal finish during their first year, the Taiwan-based team bounced back and amassed a 19-7 record to finish with the #1 seed last season. However, the Dreamers stellar season came to an end when they were upset by the #8 seed Mono Vampire in the quarterfinals.
Former Saigon Heat coach, Kyle Julius, will lead the Formosa Dreamers for the upcoming season. The Dreamers are also expected to field only two imports instead of the allowable three.
