Michael Singletary (#7) of the Mono Vampire Basketball Club has been suspended due to a flagrant unsportsmanlike action on Thanh Sang Dinh (#11) of Saigon Heat in their game last Sunday.
With 5:10 remaining on the clock in the 4th period, Singletary stopped a streaking Dinh in an aggressive manner underneath the basket, with the latter falling awkwardly onto the floor. It was seemingly an unnecessary move for Singletary with his team down by a big margin of 19 points, 65-84, prior to the activity.
Based on Article 3.3. of the ABL Disciplinary Code 2018-2019, Michael Singletary is hereby suspended for one (1) game and fined the amount of Five Hundred (USD 500.00) US Dollars.
In view of this, Singletary will be sitting out on Wednesday’s game against the CLS Knights Indonesia in Stadium 29, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Mono Vampire currently sits in ninth place just ahead of the Wolf Warriors with a 1-7 win-loss record. Meanwhile, the Knights took another beating vs the Formosa Dreamers last Saturday. Both squads will be heading into the game with three consecutive losses.
