The Singapore National Team have accelerated their preparation heading towards the SEA Games 2017 by conducting an 8-day training camp in Manila, Philippines.
Wong Wei Long, Leon Kwek, Delvin Goh, Larry Liew, Mitchell Folkoff, Ng Han Bin, and Tay Ding Loon played for the Singapore Slingers in the ASEAN Basketball League last season and all seven players were included in the roster for this training camp. In addition to those seven, Russell Low, Tan Chin Hong, Jong Ng, and Toh Qin Huang who were also on the Slingers squads in previous seasons are participating in this training camp as well. The Singapore National Team brought a total of 15 players for this training camp, led by Frank Arsego who will be coaching the team in the SEA Games.
Throughout the duration of this camp which will be held at the Phenom Sports Center, the Singapore Slingers will be playing against some of the top collegiate teams in the Philippines like St. Clare Colleges Saints, PCU Dolphins, FEU Tamaraws, NU Bulldogs, CEU Scorpions, and the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
