Renaldo Balkman will be returning for his third season with San Miguel Alab Pilipinas this upcoming 2019-2020 ABL season.
Balkman had another stellar year with Alab last season as he averaged 25.6 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 3.8 APG, 2.3 SPG, and 1.6 BPG. Balkman also averaged 57% from the field while shooting 35% from beyond the arc — a significant improvement from 26% during his first season in the ABL.
The 6’8″ forward/center led Alab to the #2 seed last ABL season but was ultimately eliminated by Hong Kong Eastern in the quarterfinals.
The Puerto Rican import will join new signings Jason Brickman and Jeremiah Gray along with returning players Lawrence Domingo and Brandon Rosser.
Renaldo Balkman was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and was a nominee for Import MVP last season.
There has been no official word as to how Alab Pilipinas will continue to fill up its roster, especially the two open import slots.
