San Miguel Alab Pilipinas team owner Charlie Dy has confirmed that 2018 Co-Defensive Player of the Year Renaldo Balkman will no longer be in Alab’s roster this upcoming season. Dy stated that Balkman will be flying back to Puerto Rico due to some family matters.

Taking Balkman’s place is 6’7” forward Nick King. King last played for the Maine Red Claws in the NBA G-League where he averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

With Balkman’s departure, Lawrence Domingo and Brandon Rosser are now the only players left from last season’s squad. The revamped Alab team will have a little over a week to get all their players acclimated with one another before their season opener.

Nick King will be joining fellow imports Khalif Wyatt and Adrian Forbes on the roster this year.

San Miguel Alab Pilipinas will make their season debut on November 17 as they visit Mono Vampire in Thailand.
