It was a busy three-game week for the Macau Black Bears where they managed to split their road games and close it out with a win at home. Through all of those three games, there was one player who simply performed better than any player in the league this week and that is Macau guard Mikh McKinney.
The talented guard played all but 1:42 of the 120 minutes they had last week but he never appeared gassed at any point.
He started things off with a career performance on the road against the Hong Kong Eastern Basketball Team where he finished with 41 points, a new ABL career high, while also adding six rebounds and eight assists. McKinney and the rest of the Black Bears were slowed down by the defensive-minded Singapore Slingers at the OCBC Arena as he only had 26 points, four rebounds, and three steals in the loss.
However, Macau capped their week with a big win at home as they welcomed the CLS Knights Indonesia with McKinney having another big performance with 35 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.
Last season’s Heritage MVP has been bringing it in the first six games of Macau as they’ve compiled a record of four wins against two defeats.
