After a jam packed week for the ASEAN Basketball League that saw four exciting ball games, Kris Rosales is crowned as the new Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in leading the Singapore Slingers to a victory over the Saigon Heat to retain their spot at the top of the standings.
Rosales finished with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and a steal in 36 efficient minutes where he shot 50% from the field. The ASEAN Heritage import from the Philippines led the team in scoring en route to an 84-69 victory.
Leading the list of honorable mentions is Moses Morgan, who led the Heat to a huge 94-90 overtime win over Hi-Tech Bangkok City with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. In that game Morgan caught fire with 7 makes from the three point range.
However, he cooled down against the Slingers finishing with only 8 points on 22% shooting from the field.
Matthew Wright also came up with two big games this week as he scored 28 in a win against the Pilipinas MX3 Kings and 14 against the Mono Vampire Basketball Club.
His Westports Malaysia teammate Jason Brickman stuffed the stat sheet with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 13 assists in the Philippines and 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 17 assists in Thailand.
Mono Vampire also have two honorable mentions as Kannut Samerjai played a great all-around game for them with 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists while Chitchai Ananti finished with 29 points, 1 rebound, 4 steals, and a block in a losing effort against the Dragons.
