Tanduay Alab Pilipinas looks to keep their winning ways going, as they travel to the CIS Arena to take on the Saigon Heat.
Gametime is set for 5PM local team in Saigon, Vietnam.
Alab is fresh from a 92-87 win against the CLS Knights, and are looking to make it three in a row this season. Justin Brownlee was unstoppable in Surabaya, as he torched the Knights to the tune of 36 points. He was the big difference versus CLS, as he had the hot hand with 4 made triples in the contest.
Brownlee has been consistent for Alab since joining the squad in 2018, and has helped Tanduay get back into the upper echelon of the playoff picture.
Alab Pilipinas also got excellent performances from Renaldo Balkman, who tallied a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Reigning Local MVP Ray Parks also chipped in with 14 points, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
The Heat on the other hand were demolished by Mono Vampire Basketball Club via a 97-83 decision. That was their second straight loss as the memories of dealing both Hong Kong Eastern and Chong Son Kung-Fu it’s first loss grows distant with each passing defeat.
Maxie Esho did his best to battle against Mono Vampire’s behemoth World Import Sam Deguara, but it was far from enough in the end. Though he finished with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 3 steals and 4 blocks, Esho and the Heat were unable to prevent Mono Vampire from winning on their home floor.
The struggles of Heritage Import Mike Williams also continued versus Mono Vampire, as he struggled from the field again en route to 5 points on 2/8 shooting. Williams showed flashes of elite scoring during the Heat’s three game winning streak, and his teammates are hoping he can recapture that again versus Tanduay Alab Pilipinas.
