Finally ending their losing skid with a tight win agains the Singapore Slingers, last year’s ABL finalists will now look to begin their long climb back to the playoff hunt. It won’t be easy, but Mono Vampire definitely has the talent to make it happen.
Returning from his one-game suspension, Mike Singletary made up for lost with an all-around performance in the win against the Slingers. Back at his natural position at the forward slot, Singletary was able to attack from all over the floor, en route to a 23 points and 14 rebounds performance.
The Dragons on the other hand are the hottest team in the ABL right now, the giant slayers that dealt San Miguel Alab Pilipinas its first loss of the season, then adding on by defeating the Wolf Warriors. Can they get their third win in a row?
Finally with a complete lineup once again, Mono Vampire showed that they have the ability to beat any team, as they dealt the Slingers a 81-79 loss on the road. Their shooting finally clicked, and they did a good job of limiting opportunities for their opponents.
There were some shaky moments for the Dragons, but in the end they were able to pull out an 89-83 win behind clutch plays from Eversley and Jonathan Wong. Once again it was their three point shooting that was the difference maker, as the Dragons had 14 triples compared to only 8 for the Wolf Warriors.
After a subpar game against San Miguel Alab Pilipnas, Chris Eversley responded with an excellent game against the Wolf Warriors. With 23 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals, Eversley was in takeover mode, and helped stymie the run from the Wolf Warriors.
