The Macau Black Bears go for their third straight win and 10th overall when they take on the visiting Wolf Warriors this Tuesday.
Currently fourth in the team standings with a 9-7 record, the Black Bears are trying to chase down leaders Singapore Slingers, Formosa Dreamers, and San Miguel Alab Pilipinas.
Macau overpowered Hong Kong Eastern in its previous game and nabbed the 113-93 win. The Black Bears were down by as much as 14 points in the second quarter but waxed hot in the critical third juncture. They caught fire and erupted for 42 points while holding down Eastern to just 13.
Anthony Tucker torched Hong Kong with 37 big points, his second-highest output this season after he had 43 in his first game. The reigning World Import MVP is averaging 25.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 10.0 assists.
The Wolf Warriors, who are in 10th place with a 2-18 record, are hoping to put an end to their four-game losing streak. They got blown out of the water by the Formosa Dreamers in their last game, 107-79.
A positive takeaway for the Zhuhai squad is the breakout game of Sun He Feng. His 18-point, 12-rebound outing is his best performance so far this season. Prior to the game against Formosa, he was putting up quiet averages of 1.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 0.2 assists.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Wolf Warriors plan to stop the Black Bears’ explosive offense. Led by Tucker, the Black Bears are number one in the league putting points on the scoreboard with 104.1 points per game. In contrast, the Wolf Warriors give up the most points with 104.2 per contest.
Can the Black Bears get their third straight victory or will the upset-seeking Wolf Warriors get their third win of the season?
