The Hong Kong Eastern Basketball Club return to action on Wednesday as they take on the CLS Knights Indonesia at the Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai.
Hong Kong Eastern got back to their winning ways after they delivered a 99-79 beating on the lowly Formosa Dreamers. They avenged their first loss of the season and still pace the league with an 8-1 record.
Tyler Lamb, who only had 11 points in their last game made sure to bounce back from his dismal performance. Lamb ended up with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals against the Dreamers.
Lamb is enjoying his best season in the ABL so far. For the first time in three years, the Thai-American swingman is averaging more than 20 points a game. He has also maintained his defensive prowess, racking up 2.78 steals per outing.
The CLS Knights meanwhile are still spiraling down the standings after their 92-87 defeat against Tanduay Alab Pilipinas.
The Knights fought bravely against the Philippines but ran out of steam in the end to suffer their seventh straight loss.
Locals Mario Wuysang and Sandy Kurniawan did have solid scoring outputs despite the disheartening defeat. Wuysang tallied 17 points and three triples while Kurniawan was brilliant with 19 points on five makes from downtown.
Brian Williams has also been toiling away for the Knights. He puts up solid numbers consistently. He is averaging 16.7 rebounds, good for second-best in the league. But he will be tested against Hong Kong with the likes of Christian Standhardinger and Ryan Moss.
Hong Kong aims for a league-best nine wins while the Knights just hope they can finally end their losing streak.
