After clinching a playoff berth in their previous game, the Formosa Dreamers look to extend their winning streak against a team who have been just as hot as the Macau Black Bears visit Taiwan this Saturday.
Last season, the Dreamers only had one win in 20 games as they finished dead last in the standings. This season is a complete turnaround for them as they own the second-best record at 13-6.
Much to do about the success of Formosa is its deadly trio of World Imports – Will Artino, Tevin Glass, and Malcolm Miller. The three stars average roughly 20 points per game, shouldering most of the team’s offense. In the Dreamers’ 107-79 rout against the Wolf Warriors, it was Glass who top-scored with 25 points on 12-for-18 shooting.
The Black Bears meanwhile have also been on fire as of late, winning their last four contests. They’re coming off a dominant win over San Miguel Alab Pilipinas where they crushed the defending champions, 116-103. They dropped 38 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Mikh Mckinney has been on a tear as of late and he was the one who spearheaded Macau’s attack against the Philippines. The Fil-Am guard notched 40 points, one point shy of his career-high in the blowout. He’s up to 25.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists for the season.
Two of the top four teams square off in what’s expected to be an entertaining battle between the Formosa Dreamers and Macau Black Bears this Saturday at the Changhua County Stadium in Taiwan.
