It must feel like deja vu for the Saigon Heat. After scoring a huge overtime win against the league-leading Hong Kong Eastern Basketball Team, they’re once again tasked to follow it up with a matchup against the number 2 team in the league in Chong Son Kung Fu.

The Heat did it before and they’re hoping to pull it off again.

After scoring back-to-back wins over the league leaders back in early January, the Heat lost three consecutive games and when they needed another big win to get them to .500, Saigon stepped up to defeat the defending champions.

Akeem Scott was unstoppable in that game as he scattered 38 points while adding 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals but he did not do it alone. He got help from his fellow World Import Maxie Esho who had 27 points and Michael Williams who finally ended his prolonged scoring slump by getting 23 points.

The Heat will be bringing a lot of confidence as they approach their next game but so will Kung Fu. The team based in Nanhai walloped the Formosa Dreamers in their last outing, 108-79, led by their gem of a Heritage Import in Mikh McKinney who had a triple-double with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Aside from him, their two World Imports have also been very consistent this season with Anthony Tucker averaging close to a triple-double while Justin Howard has been the most consistent inside presence in the league.

Will lightning strike twice for the Heat or will Kung Fu get payback against Saigon for giving them their first loss of the season? Make sure to block out your schedule because this promises to be another great game.
