Chong Son Kung Fu will try to get a win on the back end of their back to back games, as they challenge the surging CLS Knights Indonesia.
Action is set to take place at the Nanhai Gym in Foshan China, 730PM local time.
Chong Son Kung Fu had their revenge against the Saigon Heat for dealing them their first loss of the season, as the Akeem Scott-less Heat were unable to slow down the 1-2 punch of Justin Howard and Mike McKinney. Couple that with another triple double performance from Anthony Tucker, and it’s easy to see why Chong Son was able to cruise to the 94-79 win just a day ago.
Mikh McKinney was solid again for Chong Son Kung Fu, as he tied with Justin Howard for a team high 23 points. McKinney’s energy and hot shooting has been invaluable, and he has kept it going all season long.
The Knights on the other hand have won back to back games for the first time this season, as they defeated the Westports Malaysia Dragons, 92-82. The Knights raced to an early first half lead, leading by as many as 21 against a flat Dragons team. However the Dragons roared back via an 18-0. But with Edwards alongside a deeper bench led by Keith Jensen and Biboy Enguio, the Knights had enough firepower to seal their second straight win.
World Import Shane Edwards continues to turn heads with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while new Heritage Import Keith Jensen was a fresh of breath air for the squad. The Filipino-American debuted with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks.
The Knights scared the then-undefeated Chong Son Kung Fu in their previous matchup, leading by 15 points at one point in the first half. But Chong Son’s firepower was enough to overcome the Knights in the end, as Anthony Tucker’s 22 points led his team to the victory despite playing in the tough Gor CLS Kertajaya gym.
In their first rematch of the season, Chong Son Kung Fu will look to shake off the effects of back to back games, as they take on a winning streak-seeking Knights. Can the Knights get revenge, or will Chong Son make it two in a row vs CLS?
