Justin Howard graced the ABL courts for five seasons in his professional basketball career. And for five seasons, the 6’11” big man tormented his opponents in the low post.
Howard, who played for multiple teams in the ABL, was a force in the paint. Again and again, the American center would call for the ball down low and seemingly score with ease over his defenders.
Throughout his ABL career, Howard averaged 22 points a game while grabbing 16 rebounds an outing. On the defensive side, Howard was a rim protector averaging almost 2 blocks per game. In 2017, Howard was named Defensive Player of the Year for his ability to be his team’s defensive anchor.
Howard is also one of only two players to score at least 2000 points in the ABL. He once held the record for Most Career Points but was surpassed by Xavier Alexander in early 2019.
However, despite making it to the Finals twice, Howard has not won an ABL title. That being said, Justin Howard still has the numbers and body of work to consider him one of the Final 21 nominees for the Top 10 ABL Players of All-Time.
