Chang Thailand Slammers are Locked and Ready for the 2nd Season of ABL

The Chang Thailand Slammers are lock and loaded for the upcoming 2nd season of the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) which begins on October 2nd. The Chang Thailand Slammers will bring a promising season to the ABL as they fill their line-up with top caliber players. This is a totally different team selected with a positive approach for the Thailand basketball club and fans.

This season the Chang Thailand Slammers brings in 4 MVP players to their team: starting with Jason Lamar Dixon (ABL league MVP), Attapon Lertmalaiporn (ABL season MVP), Cris Kuete Daniels (Thailand Open MVP) and Sukdave Gougar (University games MVP and Bangkok League MVP).
It was a big task for the team and general manager Raha Mortel to form a great team to represent the Thai contingents for the ABL. He was able to convince Jason Dixon to play for Thailand and with his counterpart Chris Kuete Daniels. Other than that he was able to persuade Philippine import Eric Canlas who played for in the professional basketball team in the Philippines to join the Chang Thailand Slammers. We also have to give credit to the young blood of Thai basketball, Sukdave Gougar who was in the development team of the Thailand team last season and now has gotten into the team line up this season.
Returning veteran player like Piyapong Piroon (team captain) and former team manager/ turned Head coach Raha Mortel of Thailand’s season 1, is now the Team manager/General manager of the Chang Thailand Slammers will contribute lots of great skills and experience to the team.
With the support of the Thailand basketball club and team sponsors Chang drinking water, hi-tech basketball club and the generous basketball figures who devote their time in developing Thai basketball in the Asean region, Mr. Surasak Chinawongwatana, the president of the Thailand basketball club, and Mr.Nipondh Chawalitmontien, owner of the Hi-tech basketball club and Chang drinking water, the team is aiming to make this 2nd season of ABL another path in the success of Thai basketball.
