The biggest win of the week belongs to defending champions Hi-Tech Bangkok City so it’s just fair that the Player of the Week also comes from their side.
Chris Charles, after fouling out early in their last game against the Singapore Slingers, made up for it big time with a dominant performance against the league leaders with 26 points, 21 rebounds, an assist, 4 steals, and 5 blocks. He shot an efficient 11 of 16 from the field and played all 40 minutes in the much needed win.
The victory enabled Hi-Tech to stay in the chase for the top spot which will earn them homecourt advantage for the entire playoffs.
The cast of honorable mentions is led by Wei Long Wong who had 22 points and 3 rebounds in their 83-75 loss to Charles’ squad.
Mono Vampire also had two great individual performances this week with Cleveland Melvin dominating the Pilipinas MX3 Kings with 41 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 blocks while Anthony McClain had 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists.
The Kings’ new import Will Creekmore had a string of two good games as he notched 25 points and 9 rebounds in their 101-82 loss to Mono Vampire and 36 points and 8 rebounds in their 84-80 loss to the Saigon Heat.
Rounding out this week’s list top performers is Lenny Daniel who dropped 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 assists in their win over the Kings which sealed their playoff spot.
