The last week of the 2015 for the ASEAN Basketball Association (ABL) was certainly not the least in terms of individual performances with five action-packed games.
Strengthening their hold at the fourth spot, it was a big week for the Saigon Heat as they scored back-to-back wins over the Mono Vampire Basketball Club. William Creekmore was the Best Player of the Game for both contests, enough to have him crowned as the Player of the Week.
Creekmore had 22 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in the win over Mono Vampire at home. In Bangkok, he posted 18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. The Saigon import also did a lot for his team that did not appear on the stat sheet as he was the main defender against Anthony McClain.
Steven Thomas finished a close second to Creekmore with a solid stat line of 8 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals against Pilipinas MX3 Kings in Manila in a close win. The Hi-Tech import was dominant in their home game with 24 points, 20 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.
Mono Vampire’s McClain averaged 27.5 points and 15.5 rebounds this week but it was not enough to power his team to a win over Saigon.
Reggie Johnson also posted monster numbers against the Singapore Slingers with 36 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks in a losing effort at home for the Westports Malaysia Dragons.
