ABL extends well wishes to injured Singapore Slingers player Lim Wai Sian.
Wednesday, February 17, 2010, – Singapore Slingers player Lim Wai Sian who suffered a head injury after falling backwards onto the wooden floor during due to a collision during a team drill is now on the road to full recovery after spending 5 days in the ICU and an additional 2 days in the High Dependency Unit at the National University Hospital.

Singapore Slingers player Lim Wai Sian who suffered a head injury after falling backwards onto the wooden floor due to a collision during a team drill is now on the road to full recovery after spending 5 days in the ICU and an additional 2 days in the High Dependency Unit at the National University Hospital.

 

Wai Sian was slightly off balance during a collision with another player and landed on his back followed by his head which whipped back and hit the floor. He was instantly attended to by a sports trainer. When it was apparent that Wai Sian might be seriously injured an ambulance was called immediately while fellow Slinger Marcus Ng, a 3rd year medical student and a member of the SSC sports trainer department stabilized Wai Sian’s condition.

 

Wai Sian’s accident shocked his team mates but all are grateful that he is doing well. According to Singapore Slingers General Manager Michael Johnson, “Wai Sian is now well on the road to recovery.

 

The ABL family would like to extend their best wishes to Lim Wai Sian as well as the Singapore Slingers during this time and hopes that Wai Sian will be fully recovered soon.
