After a quick two-game weekend with the Formosa Dreamers, Reggie Okosa is on the move yet again.
The Taiwan-based ABL club recently replaced Okosa with Ronnie Aguilar. It was a rough week for the Dreamers who suffered two straight losses to the Saigon Heat and the Mono Vampire Basketball Club. In his first and only two games with the Dreamers, Okosa averaged 10.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
Size seems to be the Dreamers’ priority as they will now be parading seven-footer Aguilar as their world import inside the paint.
The native of California was on the Los Angeles Lakers training camp back in 2012 and played in some preseason games with the team but was not able to secure a spot on their final roster. Aguilar then bounced around from the NBA D-League (now G-League) and in Venezuela.
Aguilar is also a regular member of the El Salvador National Team with an average of 9.3 points and 11.5 rebounds in FIBA competitions. He helped their team to a silver medal finish in the 2013 COCABA Championship.
The Dreamers will be able to debut Aguilar as soon as this Sunday when they visit the Westports Malaysia Dragons at MABA Stadium.
