Saigon Heat will have a chance to make the playoffs race more exciting if they are able to beat Indonesia Warriors on Wednesday at Tan Binh Stadium. The Heat know they can’t afford any slip-ups at home if they want to stay alive in the playoffs race.

The Heat are currently trailing Indonesia Warriors by 4 points . This will be Heat’s one and only home game in April. They will play their other four games on the road against Chang Thailand Slammers, Westports Malaysia Dragons, AirAsia Philippine Patriots and Singapore Slingers.

The Heat had 12 days off after their 66-63 win at Ynares Sports Arena over San Miguel Beermen. Jahmar Thorpe led the way for the Heat in this game with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Jonathan Jones also recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Heat are now 4-2 under head coach Jason Rabedeaux.

The Heat have lost both games against the Warriors so far this season. Their last meeting was on March 17th at Tan Binh Stadium. The Warriors escaped from Saigon with close 72-68 win over the Heat behind Jonathan Smith’s 28 points.

The Warriors have just suffered a tough 69-71 loss to San Miguel Beermen on last Saturday. Steven Thomas recorded his 13th double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. The Warriors had 3 chances to tie the game before the buzzer sounded but their efforts fell short after Mario Wuysang, Rony Gunawan and Steven Thomas all missed their attempts.

The Warriors are now sitting on fourth position with a record of 7 wins and 8 losses. It is unclear if Allan Salangsang’s ankle will be a 100% by Wednesday. Salangsang played 11 minutes against the Beermen with a sprained left ankle. Warriors will be seeking their fourth win from their last five games.
