Position Title: Sponsorship Coordinator 

General Description: 

The AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) is seeking an individual to take the position of Sponsorship Coordinator (SC).  The SC reports directly to the league’s Chief Operating Officer. The position will be based out of the ABL headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, traveling to areas throughout southeast Asia and around the world. 

Responsibilities: 

·         Research, identify, and contact ideal corporate partners, generating new sponsorship leads

·         Develop, review, and edit proposals

·         Manage on-going sponsor relationships, and coordinate the execution of sponsorship benefits    contracts (on-site / media promotions, tickets and hospitality, acknowledgment, etc.) by          communicating directly with sponsors, ABL office personnel, and league member teams

·         Process all sponsorship contracts

·         Coordinate the sponsor account fulfillment team

·         Maintain accurate and timely records on prospects, sales, and contacts

·         Assist in planning sponsor-related special events as necessary

·         Act as a host to visiting sponsors at a variety of events

·         Prepare and execute plans to increase incremental revenue streams (i.e., online ticket sales,      merchandising, etc.)

·         Maintain office organization and other administrative duties as assigned 

The ideal candidate shall possess: 

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

·         2+ years of sales and/or sales support experience (sponsorship background / sports industry     preferred, but not required)

·         Strong interest in and/or knowledge of the sports industry and commitment to grow the         game of basketball

·         Proven record of successful revenue generation in significant amounts with annual                 sponsorship goals of over $3 million USD and evidence of successful prospect lead generation

·         Reside in or the ability to relocate to southeast Asia (specifically Jakarta, Indonesia) by August    2012

·         The capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·         Excellent English communication, presentation, writing, and customer service skills

·         An endlessly positive attitude, enthusiastic mindset, and self-starter mentality

·         Strong organizational and computer abilities (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
