Bangkok Cobrasvs Chang Thailand Slammers

AirAsia ABL Season 3 Game 6: Bangkok Cobras vs. Chang Thailand Slammers

Saturday 21st January 2012, tip off 3pm local time, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

The Slammers are on the road again just three days later to visit the Bangkok Cobras home stadium at Chulalongkorn University. Despite representing the same country, this will be the first time that these two teams will be facing off against each other.

The Bangkok Cobras’ first game was a tough one, going in as underdogs against the AirAsia Philippine Patriots in the very first game for the AirAsia ABL season 3 and they subsequently lost their season opener 58-68. New coach Joe ‘Jellybean’ Bryant will have had a week to prepare his players for the game against the Slammers however and having a home court advantage could work well for his team.

Defending champions Slammers will play their third game in 6 days and the players’ fitness levels will be challenged in this match-up. A win here will definitely strengthen their hopes for a second consecutive championship however, especially after their loss on Wednesday to the Singapore Slingers. The Cobras, on the other hand, will be  hoping to rebound from a tough debut. They will need big contributions from  their two American Imports Bruce Brown and Gentry Lewis. Cobras’ shooter Ratdech Kruatiwa will need to try to find his shooting rhythm.

If you're in or around the Bangkok area, head over to Chulalongkorn University as admission is free!
