The ABL had four outstanding games last week and the performance of three athletes stood out with one player winning Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
World Import Player of the Week
Lenny Daniel, Formosa Dreamers
It was an emotional return for Lenny Daniel in Vietnam against the Saigon Heat, the very team he had played his heart out for in the past couple seasons in the ABL. The athletic import represented the team during the ABL pre-season press conference but announced that he was parting ways with the squad a few days later.
Against his former team, Daniel played with a point to prove. He grabbed the game’s final rebound and let his emotions all out after sinking two free throws that guaranteed the victory for the Formosa Dreamers, their first in franchise history.
Daniel had 22 points, 19 rebounds, and 3 blocks against Saigon and while this may not be the best stat-line of the week, his performance will surely go down in history as one of the most important in the young existence of the franchise.
